NYX Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Tea & Cookies

The Nyx Cosmetics Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick I have is in the color Tea & Cookies. It is a beautiful bubble gum pink shade. The lipstick comes in a plastic tube that I find to be pretty lightweight. So far I have not had any problems with leaking. The applicator is a standard doe foot. Personally, I think that the applicator grabs too much product, so I just wipe some off before applying to avoid caking it up.

The formula has a liquid consistency compared to their soft matte lip creams, which feel whipped and mousse like. The first time I applied the lipstick, I must have applied too thick of a layer.. because the product slipped around a lot and did not dry well! Although Tea and Cookies is highly pigmented, it can become streaky if not applied right. When dry, the lipstick turns into a nice slightly transferable matte finish.

They sit a little tacky on your lips at first. Eventually that goes away, and you will forget you are even wearing it. I found the wear time to only be a few hours, if that. The center of your lips begins to crack and fade within an hour. Overall, I do like the liquid lipstick. BUT, I do not find it to be top 10 worthy. I am a loyal soft matte lip cream lover, so check those out if you have not yet! Love NYX Cosmetics, but this product simply did not work for me like I had hoped. Maybe I need to try it with some sort of lip primer.

Have any of you tried these? Let me know how they worked for you!

  1. I’m the other way around, I prefer the Liquid Suede to the Soft Matte Lip Cream! I haven’t had any issues with Liquid Suede flaking off, and it withstands reapplication better than the lip creams.
