10 Makeup Brands I Want to Try

1. Buxom

I am obsessing over the Full-On Lip Cream’s in the shades White Russian (nude pink), and Bellini (coral/pink). They are loaded with vitamins and swatch pretty pigmented. For me it’s a plus that they have a delicious minty fresh scent.. But I am sure some people might not like it as much. Once I try these, I could see them becoming my new go to gloss!

2. Gerard Cosmetics

The Hydra-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Serenity has been on my wish list ever since Manny MUA announced he collaborated with Gerard Cosmetics. The shade is this perfect pinky nude. I’ve heard wonderful things about the formula. They are currently having a sale on their Color Your Smile Lighted Lip Glosses. I really love the fact that there is 30 different shades to choose from.  Also, they recently just launched the Slay All Day Setting Spray in Peach, Green Tea, Jasmine, Lavender and Lemongrass. I love the fact that setting sprays are starting to be scented. I cannot stand when I spray something on my face that doesn’t smell great.

3. Jeffree Star Cosmetics

All of a sudden I have been seeing Jeffree Star Cosmetics EVERYWHERE! I’m really interested in trying the Velour Liquid Lipstick in Androgyny, Celebrity Skin, Doll Parts, and Masochist. The colors are literally breathtaking. If you haven’t heard of them, I suggest you check them out. Oh yeah and I am dying to try the spearmint and strawberry Velour Lip Scrub..yummm does that not sound delicious?!

4. Kat Von D

Lately I have been wanting to try Kat Von D’s liquid lipsticks. If you haven’t heard of the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks.. click here and check them out. The shade selection is absolutely gorgeous! I’ve heard they last all day! For someone like me who works an 8+ hour shift, I like a lipstick that can stay put all day long.

5. L.A. Girl

HD Pro Conceal is highly raved about on YouTube. Specifically most people recommend buying the light and dark shades to use for cream contouring. Carli Bybel has several makeup tutorials including these and I find they leave such a beautiful natural finish. They are priced at $4 I think? Now that’s even cheaper than most drugstore concealers. The only down side is they are only sold online and the shade selection is quite large. So while ordering you basically just have to hope you pick the right shade.

6. Lipstick Queen

The lipsticks I really like are the popular Frog Prince, Let Them Eat Cake, and Medieval. My favorite thing about this brand is that the shades vary on everyone who wears them. The Frog Prince is a green lipstick that is infamous for turning your lips your perfect shade of pink for your skin tone. Now that’s cool if you ask me.  The shade Medieval is just like Frog Prince, where it changes to the perfect red for your skin tone. Crazy stuff.

7. MAKE UP FOR EVER

The Makeup Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation and Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation are 2 highly talked about product in the beauty world. This foundation is supposed to be undetectable on camera and gives a skin like appearance.  I am always looking to make my face Photoshop smooth. I cannot wait to see if this foundation lives up to the hype!

8. Ofra Cosmetics

Can we just talk about how Ofra’s Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick claims to be moisturizing AND matte?! That makes me oh so excited. The best part is that they offer a such a large variety of shades. I believe it is 40+? And they’re priced around $19.90, which is pretty standard for liquid lipsticks IMO. I am just waiting around for a discount code before I take the plunge.

9. Tatcha

Ever since Jaclyn Hill mentioned the Luminous Dewy Skin Mist I have been dreaming of it. Every single word in that name sounds like heaven to me. I have dry skin, so I am all about that luminous and dewy skin. The thing that is holding me back on this brand is the price point. I can totally splurge on some brands.. but I am just super hesitant with Tatcha. Probably just because they aren’t a brand that is as talked about in the beauty community yet . I like to get a good idea what others think before I buy products.

10. Violet Voss

The new HolyGrail Eye Shadow Palette could literally become my go to palette if I get my hands on it. There are shimmers, mattes, metals, and satins! The palette comes with 20 eye shadows for only $52.00 USD. It’s going in and out of stock, so keep your eyes open.
