Colourpop Haul: Part 1 – Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks

I have been DYING to do my first Colourpop Haul for awhile now 🙂

I am splitting up the lip and face products into part 1 and part 2.

Colourpop Lippie Pencils – $5.00 USD

lumiere-swatch copy copyLumière – Lippie pencil collab with the beautiful and talented Kathleen Lights. I want to call this a nude but it is actually more mauvey/rosy. Almost a “your lip color but better.” The formula is really creamy and just glides on the lips. If you are like me and are used to a drier formula, then you might get a little crazy with lining at first. Overall, I found the lippie wore quite comfortably and delivered true pigmentation. I love when you find a lippie pencil that can be worn alone and look just as beautiful. The only thing I am worried about is sharpening it! Besides that, I cannot think of anything wrong with this product.

Colourpop Ultra Liquid Matte Lipstick – $6.00 USD

Trap – This shade is described by Colourpop as as “greyed out beige”, aka “greige.” I find it to be a mauvey grey nude on me. I really cannot explain how gorgeous this color looks after applied. It was love at first swipe. The formula feels extremely lightweight, and once it has dried you might even forget you’re wearing lipstick. Colourpop recommends exfoliating your lips before wearing. This helps to remove the dry skin from your lips in order to get a smoother application. The color is quite opaque and wears comfortably for 6+ hours. I can get 8+ hours out of the product if I touch it up,but it will feel a little drier at that point. The lipstick is transfer proof and I truly find it stays put during lunch. 10 stars Colourpop ❤

Beeper – The color is a deep warm/rosy brown. The first time I applied this I found it wore different than the shade Trap. I also may have used a different chapstick that day, which could have altered the staying power. But basically the first time I wore it I found it starting to crumble after 3/4 hours. I tried the lipstick again the next day with a different chapstick and found I had longer wear. So keep that in mind that the two formulations may be opposites. I really feel like this shade compliments fair skin tones. I am really impressed with the fact that these feel so light on your lips, but they deliver such rich color. I am sure these are going to become a staple in my lipstick collection.
